Responsibilities
Coordinate and direct day-to-day store operations to meet or exceed sales and margin targets by promoting sales, ensuring good customer service, maintaining adequate inventory levels, and monitoring purchases to control expenses.
Ensure both facility and staff are in compliance with Safety and Regulatory standards.
Provide guidance to team members on delivering effective and efficient service, good housekeeping skills, and overall operating efficiency.
Supervise, train, and evaluate performance of all inside sales representatives and warehouse personnel.
Ensure all customers receive quality service from company associates.
Check accounts receivable status, communicate with credit department, and contact customers regarding overdue payments.
Keep Branch Manager informed of day-to-day activities and any issues that may need resolution.
Responsible for all operations associated with branch including warehouse, inside sales, and compliance paperwork.
Direct activities to accomplish inside sales and margin goals.
Organize monthly safety meetings and enforce safety rules.
Function in capacity of Branch Manager when necessary.
Maintain corporate image and philosophy in all contact with co-workers, customers and vendors.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of five (3) years of experience in sales and distribution of industrial gases and welding supplies or similar industrial products; at least two (2) years of experience in a managerial capacity.
Strong retail sales/customer service skills desired.
Knowledge of welding applications and equipment is a plus.
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds while promoting a team player attitude.
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, MSDS, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Preferred Qualifications
College degree preferred.
Strong retail sales/customer service skills desired.
CDL license preferred.
