About CHIVALRY
CHIVALRY is an independent Los Angeles–based venue operator and event producer curating year-round live entertainment at several of Southern California’s most culturally significant rooms, including Catch One, El Cid, and Don Quixote. Our venues are known for genre-diverse programming, strong community ties, and long-standing relevance in the city’s music and nightlife ecosystem.
Led by owner Mitch Edelson, CHIVALRY focuses on sustainable, promoter-driven growth, original event concepts, and long-term artist and partner relationships. We operate across live music, DJ-driven events, cultural programming, and touring productions, supported by in-house marketing and production teams.
Role Overview CHIVALRY is seeking a Senior Talent Buyer to expand booking capacity and develop new promoter, agent, and touring relationships across our venues.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced buyer who is comfortable actively booking and advancing shows while also helping grow longer-term promoter partnerships. The Senior Talent Buyer will contribute directly to the overall programming mix by sourcing new partners, new genres, and new event formats that drive incremental revenue.
This role is not limited to in-house promotions. A core focus is working with independent promoters, touring producers, and agency partners to bring in externally promoted events and touring packages, while helping optimize calendars across multiple rooms and capacities.
High-performing candidates will have opportunities to grow into broader booking leadership as the organization continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
Book and advance live events across multiple venues in coordination with production and marketing teams
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with promoters, agents, managers, and touring partners
Source and negotiate third‑party promoted events, touring packages, and special programs
Contribute to overall programming strategy, balancing in‑house concepts with externally promoted shows
Evaluate deal structures, guarantees, splits, and settlements with profitability in mind
Help optimize venue calendars to improve utilization across weekdays and weekends
Identify new audience segments, genres, and cultural communities aligned with venue profiles
Track performance metrics (sell‑through, margins, repeat promoters) and refine booking strategy accordingly
Collaborate closely with marketing on positioning and audience targeting for booked events
Qualifications
5+ years of professional talent buying experience, preferably with venue groups, promoters, or touring organizations
Demonstrated experience working directly with independent promoters and booking agencies
Strong industry relationships across multiple genres and event formats
Proven ability to evaluate deals from both financial and operational perspectives
Comfortable negotiating artist fees, contracts, and settlement terms
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple calendars and priorities
Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in growing new programming and partnerships
Strong communication and relationship‑management skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Compensation Base salary range: $95,000 – $115,000 per year, depending on experience.
In addition to base salary, there is potential for performance‑based incentives tied to incremental revenue growth, new promoter partnerships, and successful programming initiatives.
Strong performers will have opportunities for expanded responsibility and compensation growth as the organization scales.

Unlimited paid time off (PTO), subject to business needs and manager approval
401(k) retirement plan with company matching
