Kofile is seeking an experienced Traveling Delivery Driver. The role will include but is not limited to transporting books and boxes to and from Client locations maximizing vehicle space and route management. You will be responsible for inventory confirmation at the time of pickup and delivery. While not traveling you will be responsible for warehouse organization vehicle maintenance and assisting in various departments around the facility. The chosen Driver will ensure vehicle safety customer and sales satisfaction 100% accurate pick up and deliveries while following all DOT regulations. The role requires the ability to travel overnight multiple nights per week. Travel will be throughout East Coast with Northeastern US trips at least once per month.
Local and Regional deliveries
Inventory all items scheduled for delivery/pick up
Palletize all items securely
Load and unload vehicles
Transports books/boxes to and from Client locations
Communication with Customers
Inspects vehicle equipment and supplies
Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires installing light bulbs tire chains.
Downtime is spent assisting in various warehouse and production tasks
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness while doing inventories and prepping projects
Observes DOT regulations
Inventory and shelve projects while picking up or delivering
Assist with Shipping and Receiving when needed
Qualifications
CDL is not required
Must have a clean DMV record and background check
Capable of driving large vans and box trucks
Must be able to safely use pallet jacks
Ability to travel overnight 3-4 days per week
Ability to constantly lift 25-30 pound books and boxes
Basic IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Excel Word and Outlook
Fine-tuned communication skills with varying levels within a company
Must be able to use basic hand tools safely
Over the road experience is a plus
Shipping/Receiving experience is a plus
Experience using forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus
