Uber
Product Manager II, Marketplace Intelligence
Join to apply for the Product Manager II, Marketplace Intelligence role at Uber.
About The Role Uber is looking for a Product Manager to help drive strategy and execution within our competitive Intelligence platform—a mission‑critical space at the intersection of core business strategy and market‑level decision systems such as pricing, incentives, and marketplace configuration. This role is well suited for a PM who is comfortable operating in ambiguity and excited to work on high‑impact, data‑driven problems. In this role, you’ll focus on deriving meaningful, actionable insights from incomplete, noisy, and often unreliable data sources to better understand market dynamics, competitor behavior, and pricing strategies. You’ll partner closely with engineering, data science, and analytics teams to shape products that extract signal from chaos, integrating low‑trust external data into internal pricing and incentive workflows and translating complex findings into clear narratives that inform Uber’s most strategic decisions. You’ll be responsible for defining product vision and requirements, prioritizing roadmaps, and ensuring execution aligns with business goals. This includes framing problems, validating assumptions, and iterating on solutions that influence how Uber competes in rapidly evolving markets.
What The Candidate Will Do
Own and execute the product strategy for the competitive intelligence platform, leading the design and development of the platform that extracts strategic insights from unreliable and fragmented market data.
Use data, market research, and stakeholder needs to identify new opportunities and drive product decisions.
Drive critical cross‑functional initiatives by partnering with data science, security, product, and engineering teams to align product solutions with business priorities and long‑term strategy, launching high‑quality products.
Utilize analytics and experimentation design to continuously monitor product performance metrics and identify key investment opportunities.
Take full ownership of the entire product lifecycle, from conducting stakeholder needs research and analyzing market trends to crafting detailed product specifications, defining clear use cases, setting measurable success metrics, and overseeing successful product launches and subsequent post‑launch follow‑ups.
Clearly communicate plans, insights, and results to executives, product teams, and cross‑functional partners.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years Product Management experience at a tech company.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative or technical field.
Experience delivering successful and innovative products while crafting coherent product visions and roadmaps that your team and the business rallies behind.
Strong customer emotional intelligence, with an ability to transform complex data and customer insights into a prioritized roadmap.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrable strong analytical capability and a consistently data‑driven approach with proven ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data, translate identified problems into clear user requirements, and make informed product decisions grounded in strong product intuition.
Proven track record of working collaboratively with technical and non‑technical team members such as product, engineers, data scientists, up to and including the executive level. This will be an extremely cross‑functional role, with more than a handful of core stakeholder teams.
Experience working on large‑scale platforms, preferably in a marketplace or two‑sided platform environment.
Base Salary For New York, NY and San Francisco, CA based roles: USD$161,000–179,000 per year. All US locations are eligible for Uber’s bonus program, equity awards, and additional compensation. More benefits details can be found at https://www.uber.com/careers/benefits.
