About The Opportunity FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp., is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to a C‑level executive. This is a full‑time, on‑site position located in Akron, Ohio.

Responsibilities Include

Demonstrate a solid commitment to all aspects of safety, maintaining a safe workplace for coworkers.

Provide sophisticated calendar and travel management, prioritizing inquiries and requests, troubleshooting conflicts, and making judgments and recommendations to ensure effective day‑to‑day scheduling.

Complete a broad variety of administrative tasks that facilitate the president’s ability to effectively lead the organization, including collecting and preparing information for meetings, composing correspondence, designing and producing complex documents, reports, and presentations, managing contact lists, making travel arrangements, completing expense and mileage reports, and completing special projects as assigned.

Serve as the primary point of contact with other FirstEnergy executives, for internal and external stakeholders, and for external visitors, including matters of a highly confidential or critical nature.

Research and prioritize before determining the appropriate course of action, referral, or response; exercise judgment to reflect the senior leader’s style and organization policy.

Communicate directly, on behalf of the senior leader, and respond to emails, texts, phone calls outside of normal business hours, as needed.

Keep the senior leader well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.

Effectively manage the senior leader’s time by researching, collecting and analyzing information in advance.

Maintain discretion and confidentiality, managing information and materials of a sensitive or confidential nature.

Maintain a well‑organized filing system for key materials and reports (electronic and hard copy).

Use excellent communication skills with good judgment.

Anticipate needs and deliver results consistently.

Display excellent teamwork while working with other assistants and employees.

Support other executives from time to time.

Assist with other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications Include

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum 10 years of comparable work experience, including experience providing support to a C‑level executive.

Must pass the company Support and Administrative Selection System (SASS) test.

Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook Email and Calendaring; ability to design and edit graphic presentations and materials.

Excellent verbal and written communication and time‑management skills; proven ability to meet deadlines and make informed decisions regarding priorities and available time.

Exceptional organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.

Demonstrate a commitment to performance excellence.

Maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

Demonstrate a questioning attitude to continue to learn, produce results, and strengthen existing relationships.
