Program Description: The Holy Rosary Safe Parking program is a part of the continuum of services provided by Catholic Community Services-Family Housing Network (CCS-FHN) to families, veterans, and individuals experiencing homelessness in Pierce County. This program provides safe overnight parking and supportive services to families and individuals without a home who are living in their vehicles. Each household receives a Coordinated Entry assessment and case management navigation emphasizing the primary goal of securing permanent housing. The Holy Rosary site is staffed 24/7 to maintain security, and parking participants will have access to restrooms, showers and laundry.

Position Description The Program Supervisor will supervise the site staff, including Generalists and Case Manager and oversee the program’s day to day activities. They will be the first-line call/contact in handling staff and program participant concerns/issues. Position will also fill in as needed doing direct client service work.

The Program Supervisor will assist individuals to create supportive relationships based on trust and respect in an effort to increase empowerment and hope, improve personal success, provide opportunity for integration into the community, build linkages to needed community resources and begin to establish natural community supports. They work as a team member with other agencies, systems, and community partners. The Program Supervisor will assist the team in helping consumers voice their own perspective and assure others are able to understand that perspective. They represent a consumer orientation and perspective in all internal and external agency activities.

Responsibilities MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Staff Supervision

Train and supervise Generalist staff on site and coordinate staff schedules.

Ensure that staff log and HMIS data are complete.

Ensure that safety and security measures are implemented and communicated to guests and staff. Troubleshoot concerns.

Intervene when there is disruptive behavior, facilitate consequence decision making process.

Fill in for any position as needed.

Plan and conduct regular staff meetings for Safe Parking staff.

Conduct performance reviews and implement disciplinary actions as needed.

Update training manual as needed.

Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members to manage potential conflicts.

24/7 Emergency Response

On call at all times to respond to urgent guest or staff issues.

Assess acuity and immediate risk/need by phone and determine the most appropriate response.

Assure Incident Report or Accident Report is made. Including, mandatory reporting requirements being met when applicable.

Assure Case Manager is contacted for coordination of care when applicable.

Client Quality Care

Facilitate care team meetings for Stability Site clients.

Fill in providing direct service as needed during scheduling conflicts.

Quality Improvement

Oversee client file quality.

Responsible for oversite of Safe Parking data collection and reports.

SUPERVISION 6 Full time Program Generalists, 6 part-time (weekend) Program Generalists, 1 Case Manager

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

BA in a human or social services field or 4 years relevant education and experience.

1 year of Supervisory/Leadership experience or 1 year experience providing direct supervision OR 2 years progressive coordination and/or Lead responsibilities.

Availability to work flexible hours (evenings, nights, weekends).

Proof of negative TB test within past 12 months.

Ability to obtain a CPR/First Aid Certification

Applicant must successfully pass required background checks prior to an offer of employment.

Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and automobile insurance.

Must have an acceptable driving record per CCS’ driving policy. (required to provide current driving abstract)
