Description Position Summary HealthyU Clinics is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and clinically skilled

Nurse Practitioner (NP)

or

Physician Assistant (PA)

to join our growing team. As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered primary care to a diverse population, supporting our mission to provide accessible and value‑based care.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical exams.

Obtain and document medical histories and patient encounters accurately in the EMR.

Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions in collaboration with supervising physicians as needed.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications per state guidelines.

Perform in-office procedures such as suturing, pap smears, I&Ds, and joint injections (as applicable and trained).

Educate patients and families on preventive care, chronic disease management, and health maintenance.

Provide culturally competent care across the lifespan, including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives, care coordination, and team-based care.

Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to clinic protocols and compliance standards.

Requirements Education and Experience

Nurse Practitioners: Completion of a Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, along with national board certification in a specialty area (e.g., FNP, AGNP). Must hold a valid and unrestricted license to practice as an NP in the state.

Physician Assistants: Completion of a two-year accredited Physician Assistant program (typically following two years of undergraduate study), or a four-year baccalaureate PA program followed by at least one year of clinical training. State licensure and certification by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) are required.

Licensure And Certification

Current state licensure as an NP or PA.

Continued employment requires maintenance of national certification, completion of required continuing education hours (typically 100 hours every two years), and compliance with any recertification or license renewal requirements.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and movement.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Frequent exposure to chemicals, bloodborne pathogens, and patient body fluids.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.

Salary Description $135,000 to $165,000
