SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
The Day-to-Day Substitute Paraprofessional provides short-term instructional and behavioral support to students in a classroom setting when the regular paraprofessional is absent. This role supports teachers and school staff by assisting with student supervision, instruction, and daily activities to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
CLIENT'S LOCATION Schools are located in St. Charles, IL
DESCRIPTION OF CLIENT'S DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to assist the teacher(s) in instructional activities, including use of assistive technology, supervision of students, reinforcement of appropriate student behavior, and supporting student health care needs.
Ability to build positive and purposeful relationships with students, parents, teachers, and other school staff.
Flexibility, patience, creativity, and ability to collaborate as part of a team working with diverse learners.
For special education environments: willingness and ability to support students' personal care needs, supervise integration into community settings, and assist in other supportive activities.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience working with children with a wide range of abilities - especially in special education settings
Illinois paraprofessional license (Educator License with Stipulations: PARA) or a substitute license.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
