chiefly responsible for providing guidance and support for first-year students enrolled at Louisiana State University at Eunice. The purpose of this position is to support students holistically by ensuring that best practices in student advising, career and academic coaching are followed, and working as a part of a supportive team in the Integrated Leaming Center.**Job Responsibilities:**70% Advising - Service incoming freshman in the following ways: assist students in

choosing the appropriate program and/or major and scheduling of courses;

recommend courses of action for students seeking academic guidance; maintain

student advising records; and uphold the policies and procedures of the University

as related to advisory duties.25% COACHING - Service all students in the following ways: assist students in developing

self-efficacy by identifying and overcoming obstacles that may be impeding academic success;

work with students to lean strong time management and organization skills; motivate students

to take ownership of their academic success; assist students with preparations for effective job
