Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our South Clinic multidisciplinary team focused on the care of children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities. This role involves independent and collaborative clinical responsibilities, including diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, care coordination, and ongoing management of pediatric patients in a supportive, family-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive direct care for pediatric patients with ASD and developmental disabilities, including assessment, diagnosis, and clinical management.

Obtain detailed medical and developmental histories; perform physical and behavioral health examinations.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests and developmental screenings.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management when appropriate.

Collaborate and consult with attending psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and other healthcare team members.

Support and contribute to departmental performance improvement and quality initiatives.

Provide education and guidance to families and caregivers throughout the continuum of care.

Participate in research and education initiatives relevant to pediatric developmental and behavioral health, as appropriate.

Anticipated work schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Required Education and Experience

Master's degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program OR graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program.

One year of work experience in a pediatric or family focused clinical area.

Required Credentials

For Nurse Practitioners:

Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington; current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner.

For Physician Assistants:

Active, unencumbered physician assistant licensure in the State of Washington; initial certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

For all providers: Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration; current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals; American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) acceptable in lieu of BLS; active clinical privileges as an Allied Health Provider at Seattle Children’s Hospital must be secured prior to time of hire and maintained throughout employment.

Preferred Experience

Two years experience in advanced practice provider role.

Two years experience in pediatric health care.

Compensation Range $144,449 - $212,444 per year

This position is eligible for relocation for qualified candidates.
