Schedule:
Weekdays, 8–12 hrs/week, flexible 4:00–10:00 PM

Part‑Time, Year‑Round, Hourly, Non‑Exempt
Start Date:
October 2023, hours not to exceed 960 per fiscal year.
Compensation:
$17.74–$23.94/hr
POSITION SUMMARY Under general supervision of the Recreation Supervisor and direct supervision of the Recreation Coordinator II, the Field Attendant provides direct supervision and assistance to rental groups and leagues, prepares fields for programs/rentals, and performs related duties as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct and provide direct supervision of field rentals.
Ensure enforcement of District rules and policies; communicate them to permitted groups.
Monitor safety of fields and program participants.
Provide leadership and problem‑solving assistance to rental groups.
Maintain a high level of customer service.
Maintain accurate records of forms, inventory, and supplies.
Lift moderate to heavy loads and operate equipment such as tractors.
Drag, chalk, paint lines, water fields.
Attend job‑specific trainings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Perform manual labor and lift 50–95 pounds.
At least 18 years old.
Valid CPR and First Aid certification (obtained by employment).
Reliable transportation; valid California driver’s license.
Creditable TB skin test, background check, and fingerprint clearance for contact with minors.
High school diploma or GED required; sports background desirable.
Basic internet and computer skills; excellent customer service.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT The role is primarily outdoors in varying weather, requiring prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and use of protective equipment. The schedule includes irregular hours, weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays.
