Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney
Nyhan, Bambrick, Kinzie, & Lowry seeks attorneys experienced in workers' compensation defense to join our successful firm, which was ranked a 2024 Best Place to Work by Crain’s Chicago Business based on feedback from our team members. Salary is competitive based on experience.
Essential job functions include
Illinois licensed attorney with 3+ years of workers’ compensation defense experience
Ability to interpret laws, rules, and regulations as they pertain to the Workers' Compensation practice
Ability to review medical evidence and medical records
Ability to analyze the probable outcoming of cases, gather evidence including interviewing clients, depose relevant parties, and attend hearings/trials
Ability to communicate regularly with claims representatives and other relevant parties
Ability to present cases to arbitrators and draft legal documents including opinion letters and settlement contracts
Ability to handle a full caseload
Our desired candidate must be organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills; curious and resourceful with the ability to investigate accidents and other inconsistencies; and prepared to handle a fast-paced practice.
