We are currently seeking a
Billing Specialist with Skilled Nursing experience.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for the timely and accurate billing of all insurance claims, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care.
Ensure compliance with all insurance contract requirements and federal billing regulations.
Maintain accurate and complete documentation in PointClickCare (PCC) Billing Software.
Collaborate with management personnel at each facility to ensure smooth billing operations and prompt resolution of issues.
Submit clean claims promptly to prevent delays and denials.
Perform timely follow-up on all submitted claims to ensure proper payment and account resolution.
Review accounts receivable aging regularly to ensure due diligence in collections.
Verify the accuracy of patient data and prepare billing according to applicable guidelines and regulations.
Investigate delinquent accounts and recommend actions for outstanding balances.
Contact third-party payers and organizations to facilitate timely payment of claims.
Maintain organized documentation of all account activity, including patient inquiries, refunds, and payment adjustments.
Process insurance or patient refunds, correct late charges, and monitor effective/exhaust dates for coverage.
Provide excellent customer service in responding to patient account inquiries.
Requirements:
Multi-State Skilled Nursing billing experience
Proficiency in Medicare and Medicaid billing regulations.
Experience working with PointClickCare (PCC) healthcare software.
Strong understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, and Managed Care processes.
Working knowledge of billing, collection activities, and cost accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Experience with account reconciliations and financial accuracy.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
