Job Title: HVAC Project ManagerJob Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HVAC Project Manager to support the execution of commercial HVAC projects across diverse sectors such as office buildings, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and industrial sites. This role is ideal for candidates with foundational HVAC experience and a strong interest in project management, looking to grow within a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
Assist senior project managers in planning and defining project scope, budgets, and schedules.
Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project alignment.
Support procurement of HVAC materials and equipment for commercial installations.
Monitor project progress and maintain updated documentation.
Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and code standards.
Help manage project risks and develop contingency plans.
Prepare reports and updates for internal stakeholders and clients.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and team members.
Essential Skills
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in HVAC or commercial construction project coordination preferred.
Basic understanding of commercial HVAC systems such as chillers, boilers, and air handlers.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with blueprint reading and commercial building codes.
Experience with scheduling tools and cost estimation.
Exposure to BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools is a plus.
Preferred to have an Engineering or Construction Management Degree.
Work Environment The role requires on-site presence, engaging with diverse projects across various sectors. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, demanding both independent initiative and collaborative teamwork. Proficiency in technologies and adherence to safety standards are essential.
Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Durham, NC.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.

Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Durham,NC.
