Location & Hours Work Location Type: Reno, Nevada Onsite. This is a full‑time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM). No weekends or holidays.
Benefits Paid Time Off includes 18 days available during your first year. Imperial offers Day 1 benefits, including medical, dental and vision coverage. Additionally, we provide six paid holidays, and the company contributes 6% to a 401(k) with immediate vesting.
Compensation The anticipated rate of pay for this salaried position is $60,000 – $65,000. The pay range reflects the potential base pay for this role at the time of posting based on the job grade. Individual base pay will depend on geographic location and relevant experience and skills. The range is subject to change and the compensation ultimately paid may be higher or lower than the range described above.
Position Summary In this full‑time Warehouse Supervisor role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the assigned department, maintaining required operational metrics. You will act as a working supervisor of 15‑25 distribution associates and assist the DC Manager and DC Supervisor in hiring, training, coaching, and disciplinary processes with a focus on development and retention. The Warehouse Supervisor interfaces cross‑functionally and collaborates with Purchasing, Customer Service, Human Resources and Quality Control team members.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise assigned areas on the designated shift, directing, coaching and motivating associates and making cost‑control decisions to ensure daily orders are processed safely and within service criteria.
Communicate effectively and timely with associates, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Assist in recruiting, training and developing department associates to provide necessary short‑term coverage, and plan for long‑term staffing needs.
Provide staffing analytics to support recommendations in partnership with Corporate Human Resource partners and the DC Manager.
Report and process company records, including labor, payroll and inventory. Complete daily reporting for assigned departments, make necessary corrections prior to daily transmission and communicate to Customer Service and/or Sales when orders are not shipped.
Oversee company asset control, including inventory accuracy, and maintain all packaging and shipping supply inventories.
Coordinate with Purchasing to control safety stocks and reorder points.
Direct put‑away functions involved in the transfer of stock (Redistribution and Restocking) to the regional distribution centers, meeting all established restock service requirements.
Recommend capital investments involving warehouse space requirements, industrial lift equipment and material handling needs. Ensure all distribution equipment operates safely and maintain expertise in the operation of all material handling equipment.
Enforce OSHA standards and Grainger/Imperial safety policies; address and correct unsafe conditions immediately.
Maintain upkeep and appearance of the Distribution Center, ensuring safety standards are upheld and documented.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Three (3) years of general knowledge of distribution or manufacturing operations.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb and spend most of the time standing and walking in a warehouse environment.
