InDev is seeking a part-time

Automation Developer

with 4+ years of experience to be a key contributor to our automation initiatives. This opportunity is specific to our Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA) client. The TSA office seeks to expand its use of AI, machine learning, and automation technologies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, speed up contracting processes, and redeploy personnel from repetitive tasks to more value-added activities. The

Automation Developer

is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of automation processes.

We are especially looking for candidates that have worked in DHS and have an active EOD/DHS clearance.

This role will be responsible for supporting a wide range of project activities spanning business and technology environments.

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop automation and robotic process automation solutions using RPA tools such as: UiPath, Power Automate, Appian, Blue Prism, and other similar tools.

Work with compliance and security teams to ensure automation adheres to regulatory requirements, particularly within the DHS environment.

Develop, test, integrate, implement, and support solutions using RPA platforms.

Work closely with the Software Architect, Business Analyst, Other Developers and other technical team members, government stakeholders, and subject matter experts in developing automation solutions.

Analyze business problems, design technology solutions to these problems and manage the solution through the full life cycle.

Participate in process re-engineering efforts.

Participate in the Agile development cycle including daily standups.

Partner with team to do peer code reviews.

Partner with Intelligent Process Automation architecture team to Learn and Implement best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and define project scope.

Ensure automation solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business requirements.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Business, mathematics, computer science, information systems, or other related discipline from an accredited college, university, or academic institution in the United States.

4+ years of direct experience developing automation and robotic process automation solutions with technologies such as: UiPath, Power Automate, Appian, Blue Prism, and other similar tools.

4+ years experience in object-oriented programming (C#, C++, VB, Java, or Python preferred)

Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

Experience with databases and SQL for data extraction and manipulation.

Ability to understand the business process and create process flow diagrams.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Existing and active DHS EOD/clearance (TSA preferred).

NICE TO HAVES

Previous experience working with UiPath, Power Automate, Blue Prism, and Appian.

Familiar with Microsoft Azure or AWS services (e.g., Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Lambda Functions, Step Functions).

Experience working in environments requiring DHS Suitability Clearance is highly preferred.

Clearance: Existing and active DHS EOD/clearance (TSA preferred).
