Role Summary Reporting to the Warehouse, Satellite, Location or Territory Manager, the Warehouse Lead is responsible for supporting the materials management and sales functions for the location. The Warehouse Lead is essential to the overall operation of the business. While specific daily tasks can vary depending on the location, a Warehouse Lead's main responsibility is ensuring that all stock is accounted for, processed, and organized to meet company standards. This position may also be responsible for assisting with training and development, driving delivery routes between customer locations and counter sales as assigned to meet customer and business needs.
Exciting work you will do
Assist Manager with daily tasks and projects as assigned
Processes appropriate queues inside the Kendall business system
Assist Warehouse Associates with work process questions and problems
Check accuracy of Warehouse Associates work
Verify back‑orders and adjust inventory as needed
Perform defined warehouse activities specific to the receipt, placement into inventory, selection for shipment, and shipment of stock
Pick/pack orders accurately and promptly
Receive/restock inventory accurately and promptly in designated storage areas or stock shelves
Sell company products and services to customers visiting or calling into the branch by gathering information about their needs, providing technical assistance when required, quoting, soliciting orders, and suggesting additional products
Create positive relationships with customers; answering questions; and offering relevant information
Monitor truck loading and unloading according to established procedures
Facilitate preventative maintenance and repairs on vehicles
Coordinate with territory Owner‑Associates on daily routing requirements
Controls the flow of material in and out of the warehouse
Ensure adequate staffing levels daily
Accurately identify and count inventory in assigned areas
Maintain quality and quantity performance and production standards
Drive and deliver product to various customer locations, if necessary
Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, etc.
Participate in ongoing general housekeeping of warehouse
Check assigned equipment for proper operation/functionality and communicate problems to Supervisor/Manager
Follow safe work habits and established safety procedures
Participate in safety initiatives as assigned
Attend meetings and training sessions
Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need
Work Experience : 2 years' prior delivery or warehouse experience
Education : High School Diploma or GED
Licenses/Certifications : If required to drive, the below licenses will need to be obtained upon hire:
Driver's License with Chauffeur's endorsement and clean driving record
Must be able to pass a DOT Medical Exam and obtain a 1- Year Card (Paid for by The Kendall Group)
Analytics/Computer Skills : Ability to use standard office equipment, including but not limited to computerized bar code scanner, printer, and standard warehouse equipment/tools; basic math and reasoning skills
Organization Skills : Excellent work ethic, good verbal, and communication skills; ability to work independently
Cross-functional skills : Ability to work effectively in a team environment and through the direction of a direct Supervisor or Manager
Communication Skills : Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization; know when to request assistance when appropriate, especially when lifting heavy objects
Physical, Mental and Visual Skills : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
