Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team is a fast‑paced, team‑focused, dynamic environment where delivering great experiences for our customers is top priority.

FOAA is seeking a Financial Analyst to support our Fixed Assets team. This position will support management in all aspects of financial accounting, reporting systems, procedures and policies, performing month‑end activities such as closing sub‑ledgers, general‑ledger reconciliations, reporting and balance‑sheet account analysis.

The successful candidate will ensure appropriate financial policies, procedures and internal controls are in place, documented and operating as intended. They will also play an important role in promoting systems and process development within the department to ensure ongoing efficiency and control improvements, and will innovate processes to exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Required Knowledge & Skills

CA qualification is a requirement

Prior experience in Retail or Marketplace or Financial Retail Services is recommended

Strong interpersonal skills – including written and oral communication skills

Zeal towards operational excellence, process improvement & simplification

Excellent knowledge of financial controls and procedures

Advanced level Excel and knowledge of SQL preferred

Experience of Oracle and Blackline Reconciliation tool; flexible, adaptable, well organized

Knowledge of Six Sigma defect reduction techniques (Lean, etc.) preferred

Strong team skills; self‑motivated, enthusiastic and highly energetic

Basic Qualifications

Experience using data to influence business decisions

CA with 0-4 years of post‑qualification experience in month‑end closing of books of accounts, working on various sub‑ledgers, accounting knowledge, balance‑sheet reconciliation and reporting activities

Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills

Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

Good communication skills

Good articulation skill

Well versed with excel
