Lighting Designer

Working across the Hospitality, Healthcare, and Entertainment Buildings team, you will be based in Chicago, Orlando, Atlanta, or Los Angeles with a flexible hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
Proficient in lighting design.
Provide creatively successful designs that meet artistic requirements.
Provide fixture specifications.
Provide custom fixture design and/or selection, including hand‑drawn sketches.
Provide conceptual hand‑drawn sketches for early design phase submittals.
Present conceptual design to client and design team along with Associate Lighting Designer.
Represent the discipline in creative meetings with design team and clients.
Create discipline work plan to meet project scope within discipline budget.
Direct and mentor junior Lighting Designer staff.
Coordinate with other disciplines.
Direct programming staff during commissioning to achieve creative intent.
Offer creative problem solving for challenging issues.
Travel nationally and internationally as required by project.
Qualifications
5–10 years of professional experience.
BA, BFA, BAE, or MFA with emphasis in Lighting Design.
Associate IALD membership preferred.
REVIT MEP and AutoCAD proficiency required.

Salary and Benefits
– The salary range for this role is $80,000 – $95,000. Compensation packages are based on skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package for all full‑time employees, including health insurance, vacation time, and 401(k) retirement benefits.
