Job Description Exciting opportunity at Francis Parker School in San Diego, California. Francis Parker School is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and passionate educator who shares its core values: Students First, Academic Excellence, Global Perspective, Strength of Character, Inclusive Community, and No Limit to Better. Collegial and collaborative faculty create a dynamic and engaging learning environment. This is a full‑time (40 hours per week) position, Monday to Friday, 7:45 am–4:15 pm, for the remainder of the 2025‑2026 school year. The Associate Teacher will work closely with the classroom teacher and grade‑level team to coordinate curriculum and instruction, contribute to and teach lessons, and communicate effectively with the school community. Additional responsibilities include supervising carline, lunch duty, and recess.
Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (a teaching credential is desirable)
Prior experience working with K‑5 children
Computer literate and possess excellent writing skills
Willingness to take initiative and work collaboratively as a team member
Abiding interest in helping young people experience success in school
Understanding of Singapore Math and Foundations is desirable
Salary and Benefits This temporary, full‑time position is paid on an hourly basis, ranging from $23.40 to $31.20 per hour based on education and classroom teaching experience. This position is not eligible for benefits.
