Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonographer - CPT
The Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging and procedures under the direction of the MFM program providers and physician director of ultrasound. The MFM Sonographer has a thorough understanding of the equipment and its appropriate use.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging and procedures for maternal-fetal assessment.
Interpret ultrasound findings and provide accurate reports.
Maintain and calibrate sonography equipment.
Collaborate with MFM program providers and physicians to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
Education
– Graduate of an accredited program in Sonography.
Experience
– 1-5 years previous experience in MFM practice strongly preferred.
Registered or Registry Eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). New graduates need to obtain within 24 months of hire.
Fetal Nuchal Translucency Certification, preferred.
Fetal Echocardiogram Certification, preferred.
Cervical Length Education and Review (CLEAR), preferred.
Knowledge of AIUM Accreditation standards, preferred.
Licensure / Certification
ARDMS Registered or Registry Eligible; new graduates need to obtain within 24 months of hire.
BLS Certification.
