Job Description - CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR I (T232127)
Overview The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), OB/GYN - Maternal & Fetal Medicine, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I.
General Responsibilities
Serve as coordinator for studies and provide support to other team members within the confines of the protocol as directed.
Support screening and participant eligibility determination, working with more senior team members to ensure compliance.
Conduct activities in accordance with the protocol, regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
Assist with the study life cycle from start‑up to closure, i.e., collecting and recording data, recruiting and performing follow‑up with participants, scheduling visits and assisting in coordination of lab and fieldwork.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Collect and document data for clinical research programs.
Recruit and perform follow‑up with research participants as protocols outline.
Schedule visits according to research protocols.
Assist in the coordination of lab and fieldwork.
Coordinate appointments for additional procedures as necessary.
Prepare for and participate in study monitoring visits.
Assist with correcting findings.
Participate in study meetings and conference calls.
Assist with the completion of Case Report Forms (CRF) according to protocol.
May assist with the development of protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data quality assurance.
Perform administrative duties in support of research conduction as needed.
Prepare source documentation for review with investigators.
May perform a variety of medical procedures under supervision.
May assist in compiling, editing, and proofreading written reports for both internal and external administrative offices.
May perform data analysis using a variety of software packages.
May use Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems necessary for operations under supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range $43,890 - $71,320
Qualifications High School diploma or GED required.
