Brodie League is more than a basketball league, it’s a community. As one of North America’s fastest-growing sports brands, Brodie League is redefining adult recreational basketball by delivering an elevated, professional-quality experience rooted in culture, competition, and community. Our mission is to make every league night the best night of the week for our athletes.
ROLE OVERVIEW The District Manager owns the operational performance, consistency, and health of a defined group of Brodie League locations.
This role is accountable for ensuring game days run to standard, location leaders are supported and coached, and operational issues are resolved quickly and professionally across the district.
The District Manager serves as the primary link between the Director of Operations and on-the-ground General Managers and League Managers. This is a field leadership role focused on execution, coaching, and reliability, ensuring Brodie standards are upheld consistently without central intervention.
This role will be responsible for driving growth across the following locations: New York, Boston, Chicago, and Dallas.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure every location in the district consistently meets the Brodie Standard.

Identify execution gaps early and intervene before they escape into recurring issues
Ensure league nights feel professional, predictable, and well-run across the district
What success looks like:
League nights run smoothly with minimal escalations and consistent quality across all locations.
General Manager & League Manager Coaching Develop strong, confident location leaders who can run their leagues independently.
Act as the first point of support for General Managers and League Managers
Coach leaders through challenges rather than solving everything for them
Reinforce expectations, standards, and decision-making judgment consistently
What success looks like:
GMs and LMs execute confidently, upscale appropriately, and improve over time.
Standards Compliance & System Adoption Ensure Brodie systems, playbooks, and workflows are actually used in the field.
Hold GMs and LMs accountable to required checklists, SOPs, and operating systems
Identify where systems are breaking down or being bypassed
Escalate systemic issues and contribute field feedback to improve processes
What success looks like:
High compliance with Brodie systems and fewer execution issues caused by process drift.
Resolve operational issues quickly and prevent them from repeating.
Triage and resolve issues escalated from locations with urgency and clarity
Coordinate with Content Ops, Stats, Logistics, or Finance when needed
Ensure root causes are addressed, not just symptoms
What success looks like:
Issues are handled cleanly, escalations decrease over time, and problems rarely repeat.
Operations Automation & Efficiency Reduce manual work and increase the efficiency of district-level operations through smarter systems.
Partner with League Managers and on-site operations staff to identify high-friction, manual operational workflows
Partner with Tech to implement automations that reduce human error, speed up execution, and free staff time
Ensure new tools and automations are adopted, documented, and actively used across district locations
What success looks like:
League Managers spend less time on manual admin work and more time delivering a great league experience.
REQUIREMENTS
Strong people leader with experience coaching managers to operate independently and make sound decisions
Demonstrated success driving adoption of standardized systems, processes, and operating rhythms
Proven ability to oversee and maintain consistent operational execution across multiple locations or teams
Effective problem solver who can triage escalations, resolve issues quickly, and address root causes
Operationally minded with an interest in improving efficiency through better workflows, tools, or automation
Highly organized, accountable, and detail-oriented with a focus on delivering a consistently high-quality league experience
Ability to travel between locations and work evenings/weekends during key periods
5 days in office at our Toronto HQ - Brodie has thrived due to a culture of collaboration and teamwork in office.
