Job Overview Position:

Large-Scale Global Exercise (LSGE) Joint Exercise Planner

Location:

Camp Smith, Honolulu, Hawaii

Travel:

Yes, up to 10% of the time; International travel up to 25% of the year may be required.

Schedule:

Full-time; Day Shift. Remote Work: On-site only. Clearance: Secret (TS/SCI to be obtained).

Responsibilities

Develop exercise design plans, milestones, and work‑group organizational requirements for all JELC planning events (EDM, CDC, IPC, MPC, FPC).

Ensure unified action within USINDOPACOM, with allies and supporting organizations, for LSGE and associated events such as ELITE CONSTELLATION.

Observe and assess LSGE execution to confirm objectives are met.

Coordinate with staff, personnel, forces, equipment, and support (Information Operations and Public Affairs) to achieve campaign goals.

Author exercise directives (PLANORD/EXORD) and Exercise Control SOPs, and implement efficient processes and procedures.

Lead planning meetings using the Joint Planning Process (JPP) and conduct In‑Progress Reviews (IPRs) with senior leaders.

Maintain OPSEC conditions at multiple classification levels while working with military, civilian, contractor, and foreign allied personnel.

Manage J73 exercise information data sites and respond to RFIs related to LSGE events.

Leverage tools such as Task Management System (ETMS2), Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS), Joint Training Tool (JTT), and other related databases.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and at least ten years of relevant experience (or four years of experience in lieu of a degree).

Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase I completed (or two years of joint staff experience in lieu).

Thorough knowledge of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and associated Information Environment objectives.

Proven experience in operations management and Information Environment planning, with oversight of multiple projects and timelines.

Experience in operations planning with U.S. Armed Services, joint assignments, and collaboration with allies and partner countries.

Understanding and experience with the Joint Planning Process (JPP) or equivalent military planning process.

Required Clearance

Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.

U.S. citizenship.

Salary Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
