Assembler
for a contract opportunity with our client in
Acton, Massachusetts . Overview The role involves assembling fabricated parts, testing and calibrating mechanisms to meet specifications, and repairing units as necessary. Responsibilities Assembling and testing various components and products according to engineering specifications. Inspecting products to ensure they meet quality standards. Keeping the work area clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency. Adhering to all safety and operational procedures. Recording production data and maintaining accurate records.
Qualifications High school diploma or its equivalent is preferred. May require 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Requirements Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Lifting will exceed 30 lbs. and/or repetitions of this or lesser weights will be significant. Exposure to substantial machine, chemical, biological or other physical risks are anticipated.
