Responsibilities will include developing and implementing curriculum, providing age‑appropriate instruction and supervision, interacting with children in a nurturing and developmentally appropriate way, assuring the supervision and safety of the children, performing child observations and assessments and working with team members to ensure all aspects of the classroom are completed daily. This position requires DHHS Associate or Lead Teacher qualifications, which requires a 3 credit course in Child Growth and Development plus at least 6 additional credits in Early Childhood Education. Prior experience working with young children and an Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice and positive behavior intervention strategies. Candidates should have high standards for quality of care and conduct themselves in a professional manner.
