The Waterpark Operations Manager is responsible for leading daily aquatics and guest service operations while ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and guest experience. This role provides direct oversight of aquatic safety programs, lifeguard training and performance, and front-line guest service functions, including ticketing, guest relations, and basic security coordination.

The ideal candidate is safety-driven, highly organized, and experienced in aquatic supervision, with a strong preference for candidates trained under Ellis & Associates (E&A) lifeguard programs. This position partners closely with park leadership to support overall operational readiness, risk management, and park logistics.

Key Responsibilities Aquatics & Guest Service Leadership

Directly supervise, schedule, coach, and evaluate all aquatics and guest service personnel, including lifeguards, slide attendants, ticketing staff, guest relations, and security personnel.

Ensure full implementation, enforcement, and documentation of Ellis & Associates (E&A) lifeguard standards, policies, and procedures.

Conduct and oversee lifeguard audits, in-service trainings, emergency action plan (EAP) drills, and ongoing skills assessments.

Monitor staff performance and provide corrective action, retraining, or disciplinary action as necessary to maintain safety and service standards.

Maintain compliance with all local, state, and national regulations governing aquatic facilities, including health department and regulatory inspections.

Partner with the corporate marketing and guest experience teams to ensure ticketing procedures and guest service standards meet or exceed expectations.

Park Operations Support

Collaborate with the General Manager and department leaders to ensure smooth, efficient daily park operations.

Assist with operational planning, staffing strategies, and cross-department coordination during peak attendance periods and special events.

Support park logistics, opening and closing procedures, and operational readiness as assigned.

Participate in incident investigations, documentation, and follow-up actions related to safety, guest concerns, or operational disruptions.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in waterpark or aquatic operations leadership.

Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Instructor or supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Strong working knowledge of aquatic risk management and regulatory compliance.

Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and maintain a safety-first culture.
