What You’ll Do Lead & Develop a High‑Performing Team

Cultivate a guest‑first culture, ensuring every interaction is welcoming and efficient

Mentor and support Shift Managers and team members through training and coaching

Empower teams by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and leading by example

Foster open communication and collaboration across all shifts

Support Operational Excellence

Assist in executing store‑level strategies to drive sales, guest satisfaction, and profitability

Monitor and manage inventory levels, vendor relationships, and cash control

Drive promotional execution, ensure food service compliance, and elevate the in‑store experience

Ensure the store is clean, stocked, and aligned with RaceTrac brand standards

Champion Food Safety & Compliance

Conduct regular food quality checks and coach the team on food safety standards

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

Maintain and organize required documentation for audits or inspections

Drive Results Through Collaboration

Analyze reports, identify trends, and take action to improve store performance

Support team scheduling and staffing needs in coordination with the General Manager

Provide performance feedback and help drive accountability across the team

What We’re Looking For

3‑5 years of experience in retail, food service, or restaurant leadership

1+ year of management experience preferred

Strong coaching, communication, and problem‑solving skills

Experience in high‑volume, guest‑focused environments

Ability to read and act on business metrics such as P&L, labor, and sales

Must Haves for This Role

High School Diploma or GED, in progress or completed

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed

Willing to obtain and maintain food handler and alcohol server permits (if required)

Responsibilities Clean, Safe, Fast & Full

Maintain inventory in a neat and organized manner

Supervise and monitor adherence to all safety‑related regulations, including food safety regulations

Participate in daily store operational activities as needed:

Ring up guests on cash register and balance cash and inventory transactions

Ensure the store is clean and well maintained

Stock shelves and coolers and take inventory on shelf items

Receive vendor deliveries

Order inventory and supplies

Possess the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and repeatedly bend, stand, and reach while on the job, with no or infrequent breaks

Guest

Greet and interact with new and regular guests in a genuine manner and suggest products that complement purchase to enhance guest experience

Provide prompt, efficient and courteous service and engage in conflict management when needed

Foster positive and professional relationships with co‑workers and guests, communicate respectfully, and maintain a consistent team‑oriented attitude

Address any guest concerns on designated shifts

Profit

Assist in control of inventory and the flow/distribution of materials, merchandise and supplies

Work with the General Manager to determine the type and quantity of merchandise to be bought, stocked and sold

People

Set a leading example of RaceTrac’s Core Values, Leadership Qualities and the RaceTrac Way for entire team

Support the General Manager in managing the store operation

Direct, plan and apportions the work of store team members on designated shifts

Supervise, coach, train and develop store team members

Provide feedback on employee performance and development to the General Manager

Qualifications

3‑5 years work experience preferred

1+ years management experience preferred

Vendor management experience preferred

Previous experience working in high‑volume, guest‑focused, transactional environment preferred

1+ years experience in a retail environment preferred
