Workplace Readiness Specialist
Location: Knoxville, TN
Pay: $15.68 per hour. Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00am–3:00pm.
We are seeking a full-time Workplace Readiness Specialist to supervise and support individuals served through our Day Employment Department.
Job Summary The Workplace Readiness Specialist provides direct care and supervision of a designated set of our persons served. You offer constant support, encouragement, and oversight to ensure they perform their assigned duties effectively.
Responsibilities
Document daily notes and outcomes in the Timas system.
Maintain accurate and detailed records for billing purposes.
Manage direct care and supervision for several persons at a time.
Develop positive relationships with various employers.
Assist in forming supportive relationships with personnel encountered at various jobsites.
Consult with day supervisors regarding progress, issues, or behavioral episodes.
Encourage appropriate dress code when leaving for work.

Communication (verbal and written)
Flexibility and adaptability to changing work environments
Leadership capabilities
A positive attitude
Employment Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience.
At least6 months of prior experience working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities required.
Must be able to perform assigned duties in a tobacco-free work environment.
Three years clean driving history with a valid Tennessee driver’s license.
Ability to pass a drug screen and possess a clean background.
Appropriate dress code.
U.S. work authorization.
