Pay Range
Base pay range: $15.00/hr - $16.00/hr
Program Assistant Full‑time role at the Specialized Day Center. As a Program Assistant, you will assist in the development, implementation, and facilitation of therapeutic activities for patients and provide hands‑on assistance with activities of daily living.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development, implementation, and facilitation of therapeutic activities for patients in the Specialized Alzheimer’s Day Service Center.
Provide hands‑on assistance with patients' activities of daily living.
Ensure the safety and well‑being of patients at all times.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records.
Requirements
Clear, active Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or Home Health Aid (HHA) certification.
Ability to work between 8 am and 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Must pass AHCA level II criminal background screening and drug screening.
Skills
Experience working with patients with Alzheimer’s disease or related neurocognitive disorders (preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Program Nurse Program Nurse‑Float coordinates and supervises basic health services and needs at the Specialized Alzheimer’s Day Center.
Responsibilities
Provide coordination and supervision of basic health services and needs of patients.
Administer patient medication as directed by prescription label, physician orders, and accepted nursing practices.
Evaluate and supervise each patient’s health needs and assist in the design and implementation of the activity schedule.
Develop individual care plans and identify recurrent patient problems, symptoms, and behavior changes in written progress notes.
Alter care plan to meet changing patient and family needs.
Interact with patient physicians when needed.
Assist with and supervise help given for patient’s personal care needs including toileting, dressing, eating, and ambulating.
In the absence of the Program Manager, act as the Program Manager and supervise program staff and volunteers.
Requirements
Clear, active Florida LPN license.
2–5 years’ experience in a clinical setting (or psychiatric/crisis intervention background) preferred; recent graduates considered.
Must pass AHCA level II criminal background and drug screenings.
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining flexibility.
Excellent time‑management skills.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office suite products.
Work independently and as part of a team.
