Overview
Join our team as a Quality Control Analyst in Vernon Hills, IL. In this contract-to-hire position, you will conduct routine and non-routine analytical testing of APIs, finished products, compounded sterile preparations, and stability samples using advanced analytical techniques such as UPLC/HPLC. Your responsibilities include preparing mobile phases, operating and maintaining instruments, optimizing SOPs, and ensuring compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine and non‑routine analytical testing of APIs, finished products, and stability samples using UPLC/HPLC.
Prepare mobile phases, standards, and samples, ensuring proper handling and disposal of materials.
Operate and maintain analytical instruments (UPLC, HPLC, Empower software) and assist in troubleshooting.
Execute and optimize SOPs for equipment and instrumentation in compliance with cGMP.
Analyze, interpret, and report experimental results accurately, maintaining detailed laboratory notebooks and electronic records.
Support stability studies, technology transfer activities, and cross‑functional projects.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FDA, ICH, USP) and company policies.
Collaborate with QC and QA teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, or Biology with a Chemistry Minor.
1–2 years of experience with UPLC/HPLC (UPLC highly preferred).
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Exposure to Pharmaceutical/FDA environments.
Knowledge of cGMP and Empower software.
Previous life sciences experience is highly preferred.
Work Environment The analyst works in a clean, state‑of‑the‑art laboratory facility and spends time in the office. Job Type & Location Contract to Hire position based in Vernon Hills, IL.
Pay and Benefits Hourly rate: $26.00–$30.00 per hour.
