Position Overview As an Inspector I, you will work alongside other Siemens and Customer Resident Inspectors to ensure that vehicles meet contract configuration requirements and comply with all applicable technical specifications. Your role is critical in maintaining quality standards and supporting successful project delivery and specification.
What your day may look like
Performs wide variety of complex and difficult electro‑mechanical inspections in the production/assembly/source process through final assembly inspection to meet contract specification and workmanship standards.
Follows general inspection guidelines and contract specifications to conduct critical non‑routine visual, dimensional, test and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies and materials.
Regularly interfaces with Assembly, Quality Management, Engineering, Customers.
Performs complex and critical inspection procedures requiring special set‑ups of new or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from a variety of sources.
May conduct first‑article inspection of parts and assemblies.
Identification and handling of discrepant material, understanding part flow requirements and supporting associated actions.
Ability to deal with problems in solving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
What you will need to thrive in this role
High School diploma or equivalent
Understanding of inspection methods and equipment, the ability to perform complex shop mathematics.
Ability to interpret and use blueprints, specs, engineering drawings, electrical schematics, materials lists and inspection standards.
Requires a minimum of one‑year experience of interfacing with quality functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Available to work overtime.

Frequently required to climb stairs, steps, and ladders.
Frequently required to work on elevated platforms.
Occasionally lift and move at most 40 pounds.
