This role leads procurement strategy and supplier partnership to support site, regional, and global objectives for procurement and material control. Job Description

Strategic Accountabilities

Lead development of procurement strategies at the site, regionally, and potentially globally. Facilitate continuous engagement with the stakeholder community in the procurement process and category management. Support the site-based procurement team to deliver short-term and long-term goals in alignment with business plans. Address key areas of supplier cost, safety, risk, reliability, continuous improvement, technology adoption, and supplier innovation and service. Contribute to plant turnarounds and capital project planning through effective sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and execution. Contribute to the development and execution of the risk management plan that addresses key risks in the local and regional supply base. Manage key supplier relationships in conjunction with stakeholders to increase alignment and create value generation between the supplier and CF. Support compliance adherence to the procurement process at the site through standardization and optimization of the procure-to-pay process. Operational Accountabilities

Participate in site meetings and support site initiatives around safety, reliability, and the community. Facilitate key interactions across manufacturing sites and with suppliers. Develop and execute sourcing strategies that increase productivity, improve supplier performance, and reduce cost. Ensure ongoing efficiencies of the procurement and material control function by reporting on key performance indicators. Ensure implementation and adherence of all procurement-related policies, practices, and process improvements. Participate in and promote the work of category management and improvement teams. Support the material control function to optimize inventory levels, minimize stock outs, and reduce obsolete equipment and materials. Lead the sourcing process including managing proposals, developing proposal recommendations, and negotiating and awarding the final contract. Contribute to supplier qualification efforts including introduction of potential new suppliers. Issue contract releases and purchase orders and expedite materials and services as required. Manage supply and service agreements to facilitate improvements for accuracy, visibility and productivity ensuring compliance with contract management processes and applicable laws and regulations. Supervisory Relationships

Position Reports To: Site Procurement and Material Control Manager Subordinate Positions: None Education: BS/BA in business, supply chain, engineering or related fields. Years of Experience: Six plus years in procurement including supplier management, contract management, risk management, and procure-to-pay processes. Other Unique Attributes: Knowledge of continuous improvement, Coupa/Ariba, SAP S4. Excellent technical knowledge of procurement practices including sourcing, bid development, contract development, negotiation, contract execution, and supplier management.
