Reports to: Site Quality Manager – Department: Quality – FLSA Status: Hourly.

Job Summary Assist/support Quality Engineers in providing production expertise to resolve quality issues within the production operation. Ensure that the product meets customer requirements at each manufacturing stage, conduct testing, and take corrective action for non‑conformance. Maintain the Quality Management System (AS9100/ISO9001) and report quality data.

Essential Functions

Carry out product tests and independent final inspection of finished assemblies, formally reporting all defects.

Check, progress, and collate accurate build and inspection records.

Provide technical support for tool/fixture inspection, incoming inspection, and production line quality activities.

Inspect and audit all components and stages of the manufacturing process.

Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and raise corrective action paperwork, ensuring resolution.

Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (AS9100/ISO9001).

Support and attend regular inspection and improvement meetings, establishing action plans for build quality improvement.

Maintain the calibration system, ensuring correct equipment calibration.

Assist in new product introduction and interpret drawings for build standard control.

Conduct internal audits and special projects as required.

Contribute to continuous improvement activities and process improvements.

Write reports and provide management with information.

Achieve goals within budget and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Participate in root‑cause analysis and problem resolution.

Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience with AS9100D/IATF16949/ISO9001 standards.

Laser Tracker/CMM experience, including programming, data analysis, and report generation.

Ability to read and understand drawings; working knowledge of GD&T.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Knowledge of lean thinking and tools to improve performance.

Experience with TeamCenter (advantageous).

Root‑cause analysis skills (8D, 5 Why, etc.).

Understanding of Continuous Improvement.

Strong communication, teamwork, interpersonal, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Hands‑on attitude, ability to operate independently, and promote collaboration.

Diplomatic, integrity‑based, customer‑oriented approach.

Self‑motivation, multitasking, prioritization and ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Solumina and Plex systems, and familiarity with TeamCenter.

Education

Technical certificate/training is advantageous.

High school diploma or GED with at least 5 years of relevant experience as a quality technician.

Experience

5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in defense or automotive industry.

Experience with quality or engineering in a highly regulated environment.

Background Prerequisites

Pass background check, employment verification, reference checks, and controlled substance testing.

Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if required.

Working Conditions And Physical Demands

Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Travel up to 10% of the time; occasional travel to Europe may be required.

Stand for long periods.

Work overtime as needed.
