Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced
Plant Manager
to oversee daily quarry and plant operations at a key site in Tennessee. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production while leading site personnel, managing costs, and maintaining high operational standards. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone with strong technical knowledge of mining and aggregates operations, combined with proven people management capability.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of quarry and plant operations, including production, maintenance, and logistics.
Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations, environmental permits, and company safety standards.
Lead, coach, and develop site employees, fostering a strong safety‑first culture.
Plan and manage production targets, operating budgets, and cost controls.
Oversee equipment performance, maintenance planning, and capital improvement projects.
Coordinate with internal teams on sales forecasting, inventory levels, and customer demand.
Monitor site performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, audits, and inspections.
Qualifications
Proven experience managing quarry, mine, or heavy materials operations.
Strong working knowledge of MSHA regulations and environmental compliance.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing plant or site‑based teams.
Solid understanding of aggregates production, mobile and fixed plant equipment, and maintenance practices.
Strong organisational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Proficiency with production reporting, cost management, and operational KPIs.
Valid driver’s license.
