Construction Estimator – Historic Restoration
Worcester Eisenbrandt (WEI), a historic restoration construction company, is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. This full‑time position supports projects throughout the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) metropolitan area.

Job Responsibilities
Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for historic restoration and commercial construction projects.
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates by analyzing construction documents, specifications, and market conditions.
Perform quantity take‑offs for selected trades and develop detailed, trade‑specific scopes of work.
Create, manage, and evaluate bid packages while identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, owners, and other stakeholders to align project scope, schedule, permits, and costs with historic preservation standards.
Utilize estimating software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel to develop reliable and competitive estimates.
Attend pre‑bid meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs as required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform work primarily in an office environment with occasional construction site visits.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods.
Ability to travel to job sites, attend meetings, and conduct field observations as needed.
Ability to communicate effectively with project team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; or 5–8 years of construction estimating experience in lieu of a degree.
Proven experience estimating commercial construction projects.
Proficiency with estimating software, including Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with historic restoration projects is highly preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
