Position: Simulation Center Systems Specialist Talent Area: Professional - Non-Clinical Full/Part Time: Full time Location: Houston, TX, US Department: Clinical Simulation Center Shift: 8a - 5p Job ID: 422262 We’re looking for a Simulation Center Systems Specialist, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position, you will provide expert production support for the Simulation Center and simulation classroom facilitation and simulator mannequin maintenance and repair for technology-related training. The systems specialist supports the center through proficiency in simulation technology as well as theatrical production technology to effectively simulate the reality of the health care environment, perform the data capture, and ensure the reliable playback of the educational simulation. Think you’ve got what it takes? Job Duties & Responsibilities

Contribute to the effective and efficient daily operations of the center. Identify innovative ways to integrate simulation technology into clinical and medical education. Contribute to developing effective policy and procedure and processes to support efficient center operations. Make recommendations for center operating and capital budgets. Conduct tours for internal and external groups. Provide technical support to the center’s registration process. Make recommendations on efficient and effective workflows. Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment to support center operations. Maintain technical expertise to effectively manage and operate the center’s facilities, equipment, and simulators. Demonstrate mastery of a wide range of technologies including biomedical instrumentation, audio/visual, computer and IT networking, camera, and photo productions. Oversee the use and maintenance of the center’s AV and data capture and playback/storage system. Skills & Requirements

Required bachelor's degree computer science, biomedical instrumentation, or another related field Required 3 years of experience in either simulation, biomedical, IT, or AV services experience Four (4) additional years of experience may be considered as a substitute for the bachelor's degree About Texas Children’s
