Estimator
Kent Power is seeking an experienced Estimator to oversee the bidding and securing of energy infrastructure construction projects across Kent Power's footprint. The Estimator’s primary responsibility is to understand cost metrics and utilize the necessary tools and resources to allow for an accurate and seamless bid process.
Essential Functions
Receive RFP.
Read, analyze, and understand the scope of projects to create appropriate and accurate bids.
Review bids with members of operations to be able to request quotes from subcontractors.
Work with team to ensure hard bids are accurate.
Oversee estimation process workflow.
Collect, review, and enter data in the estimating system throughout the review process.
Preferred Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED.
Engineering or utility construction field experience, preferred.
Journeyman's electrical license is preferred.
Ability to understand blueprints and possess a general knowledge of computers and project management systems.
Ability to communicate and work with varying parties.
Demonstrate reliability and consistency in fulfilling job responsibilities.
Ability to effectively prioritize, manage, and communicate on competing projects.
Efficiently gather and synthesize information to inform decision‑making.
