Operations Supervisor – FedEx Express Responsible for managing package handlers and ensuring safe, efficient package sortation. Supports FedEx Safety Above All Culture, manages day‑to‑day operations, staff, and administrative processes. Essential Functions

Champion FedEx's Safety Above All Culture and support related initiatives. Manage staffing, including hiring, terminations, coaching, training, performance evaluation, discipline, and productivity. Plan, organize, staff, direct, and control day‑to‑day operations. Assign and manage employees to ensure safe, efficient sortation of packages and minimize operational cost while maximizing quality. Analyze operational performance through observation, reports, and collaboration to determine improvement opportunities and execute action plans. Lead daily employee and planning meetings to communicate operational updates and daily goals; include public speaking to small and large audiences. Participate in developing and administering company employee relations strategies and maintain confidentiality. Participate in developing and administering company safety strategies and programs. Investigate, resolve, and/or escalated customer service issues, as appropriate. Train new employees on job duties, performance expectations, and compliance with FedEx policies, procedures, and training requirements (e.g., quality assurance, SWAK, hazardous materials, VEDR, dock safety). Mentor and develop critical skill sets for new and less‑experienced Operations Supervisors. Adapt quickly to change to meet dynamic business needs; display flexibility and urgency while leading and engaging employees positively and professionally. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Education

High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum Experience

Six (6) months experience as a package handler at FedEx or fast‑paced environment (retail, hospitality, fulfillment center, warehouse, dock, or stock room/stock functions) or military experience with honorable discharge or supervisory experience. In lieu of experience, a certification program or associate’s degree in related area or 2+ years of college courses toward a degree. Bachelor’s degree (preferred). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Maintain working knowledge of relevant technology‑based projects, devices, and computer‑based applications. Mentor, coach, and act as a knowledge resource to other employees. Job Conditions

May need to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. May work in hot or cold temperatures. May work in an environment with loud noise and fumes. Minimal travel required. Pay

$24.75 – $38.43 per hour. Closing Date
