Job Details VLT Supervisor

Directly reporting to the Manager of VLTs, the VLT Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and leading, on a specific shift, the daily VLT floor operations that include associated facilities within the area assigned. The role ensures that VLT customers receive exceptional service from all employees and that the VLT operations area remains clean.

Essential Functions

Creates and leads continuous customer service and team member workplace improvements and initiatives.

Maintains an upbeat and positive attitude throughout the assigned shift.

Upholds VLT Department Compliance, OSHA regulations, and safety rules, and assists in training team members.

Spokes positively about the company and fellow team members, especially in front of the front‑line staff.

Supports VLT Managers with any assigned administrative responsibilities.

Rewards and recognizes team members for observed positive behavior.

Handles shift hand‑over with the outgoing VLT Service Leader, ensuring a thorough pass‑down of information.

Reviews daily break schedules to guarantee adequate floor and booth coverage for the entire shift.

Communicates with VLT Service Leaders on different floors, creating a break string that maximizes coverage.

Conducts a thorough walkthrough of the assigned area, noting down machine status, cleanliness, supplies, employee interactions, and equipment operation.

Performs an upbeat and energetic Buzz Huddle for the VLT team whenever required.

Assists in developing plans, actions, and standard operating procedures for the operation and administration of assigned departments.

Establishes and maintains scheduling procedures considering facility use and related public specialty areas and events.

Touches base with each team member during the day to inquire about satisfaction, provide necessary tools, and address any concerns.

Proactively compes players after evaluating their play.

Seeks out service breakdowns (long wait times) and issues comps to restore satisfaction.

Comprehends compliance guidelines and upholds internal controls, MCC regulations, and department policies.

Handles all player and/or team member issues that arise during the shift, escalating unresolved issues appropriately.

Ensures team members follow established safety regulations in equipment and supply use.

Ensures VLT Dispatch operates effectively, with calls answered timely and professionally.

Ensures team members use proper radio etiquette and remain respectful on the radio.

Act as a dynamic, energetic leader fostering teamwork, morale, and open communication.

Establishes credibility as a leader with integrity, acting in the best interests of the property and company.

Serves as a role model and coach, developing team members with a consistent, approachable demeanor.

Ensures team members understand and are held accountable for performance expectations.

Provides recognition and rewards to individuals and groups for superior performance.

Operates as a change agent, challenging processes to improve and streamline operations.

Demonstrates facilitator skills to align and inspire the team to achieve the vision.

Coordinates with other departments to ensure total guest satisfaction and efficient operations.

Recommends and implements changes to enhance overall team member and guest satisfaction.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED.

Required Certification/License
