Product development engineer generates novel product ideas and uses creative skills to identify challenges that a new product can solve. Product development engineer works closely with design, engineering, and production teams to minimize manufacturing issues, to optimize processes, and to ensure cost competitiveness of the product.

How you will make an impact Conceptualize new ideas for OIP and RIP bushing manufacturing techniques

Implement design and process FMEA during bushing design and manufacturing

Provide technical support to project team during design, manufacturing, and testing

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product design and performance

Provide sustainable solutions to improve bushing assembly and installation processes

Sampling different materials, production processes, design tolerances for manufacturing

Provide technical support to SCM in supplier qualification, outturn sample qualification, or PPAP

Contribute to product or process innovation by exploring upcoming trends in bushing technology

Troubleshoot any potential problems during manufacturing, prototyping, or type testing of bushings

Investigate technical problems using effective problem-solving techniques (e.g., 5 Whys, SWOT analysis)

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Your Background Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering

5+ years of industrial experience in product design or engineering or testing

Working experience of bushing design or relevant high voltage electrical products

Knowledge of condenser core manufacturing, insulation materials, and high voltage testing

Knowledge of assembly jigs and fixtures, measurement tools, product or process quality controls

Knowledge of engineering principles, global standards, OEM regulations, and best industrial practices

Knowledge of automation, digitalization, AI, and condition monitoring is highly desired but not required

Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required
