JOB SUMMARY

Protects company assets and provides a safe environment for our employees and guests.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY

Responsible for the safety and well‑being of guests and fellow employees.

Gives directions and provides escorts to customers in need.

Aids civil and law enforcement authorities, including testimony in court and other administrative hearings.

Makes chip fills, jackpot verifications.

Regularly provides escorts of money and people in money‑handling positions. Provides first aid, including CPR when necessary.

Patrols all sections of property to identify safety hazards and breaks in security. Interviews, investigates and documents all applicable incidents in accordance with company policy.

Makes lost and found detailed descriptions of people and incidents.

Enforces all company policies and procedures.

Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Must be 21 years of age or older

High school graduate or equivalent is required

Proficient in English verbal and written

Must have valid identification

Must be able to obtain and possess a Nevada Gaming Registration Card, an Alcohol Awareness Card (AES/TAM), First Aid & CPR certifications

Must present a well‑groomed appearance.

Must undergo eight (8) hours of ASP (baton) training

Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Prefer individual with two years police, military, or casino security experience

Prior experience in a position with direct guest contact is preferred.

Ability to manage several tasks at once

Must be able to prepare effective written reports

Must be able to get along with co‑workers and work as a team

Must be able to work and stand inside and outside, sometimes in heat more than 115 degrees, or cold as low as 10 degrees.

Must be able to physically restrain individuals when a condition of arrest exists.

Must be able to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations and be able to make rational decisions when handling guest and employee issues.

Must be able to work independently.

Must be able to stop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip, carry heavy loads and maneuver quickly on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds. Must be able to push or pull up to 150 pounds.

Must be able to see and, also, remember the specific details of incidents and people. You must be able to give court testimony when necessary and write detailed reports.

Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.

Must pass the physical and written testing of the Western Division Security Academy (Controlled Force, Defensive Tactics, Legal Issues, Handcuffing, Tactical Communications, Use of Force, Report Writing, Searching Subjects, Emergency Response, Ethics, and Expandable Baton) within the first ninety days of employment.

Must re‑certify, between years 2 and 3, through the Western Division Security Academy, and must pass all physical, mental and environmental demands as required.
