We are a privately owned, non-corporate, multi-location practice in Upstate New York with a long history of successfully mentoring new veterinarians. Our goal is simple: Help you grow into a confident, capable clinician while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

One-on-one mentorship tailored to your comfort level
Daily case discussions with experienced doctors
Monthly group case reviews and shared CE
Flexible appointment lengths while you build confidence
No solo surgery until both you and your mentor both feel confident
Experienced doctors on-site and available for support
You’ll never be expected to practice beyond your current skill level—we grow together.
Caseload & Skill Development You’ll gain broad, real-world experience at a pace that makes sense.
Wellness care for all life stages
Medical and surgical workups
Soft tissue and orthopedic surgery exposure
Emergency and urgent care experience
Reproductive and breeding management (optional)
Shared routine surgery schedule
Advanced procedures introduced as desired
Equipment & Support All four hospitals are fully equipped to support quality medicine:
In-house CBC, Chemistry, T4, Cortisol, Progesterone & Urinalysis (IDEXX)
Digital radiography & ultrasound
Full surgical monitoring
Companion therapeutic laser (select locations)
Referral centers within a reasonable commute
Skilled technicians and support staff
Schedule, On-Call & Quality of Life
Shared on-call schedule designed to protect work-life balance but also serve community needs
After-hours call support through MyPetDoc Partner (telehealth triage)
Reduced call volume and strong technician backup
We serve our rural community while respecting our doctors’ personal time
