For additional information on remote work at Penn State, see .** **JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS**Dr. Seyedehaida Ebrahimi is looking to hire a part-time research assistant in the College of Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering. Successful candidates should have a background in device physics, optics, and microbiology. Qualified individuals will perform research in developing point-of-care biosensors for studying bacterial cells, their antibiotic response, as well as their role in neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease. Responsibilities for this position also include, but are not limited to, training other lab members in Ebrahimi lab, presenting in meetings, and co-authoring journal articles. **BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES**Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
