We are seeking a diligent and resourceful Buyer to oversee the sourcing and purchasing of materials, supplies, equipment, and services in the automotive manufacturing sector. This role requires adherence to international directives and industry standards. Responsibilities
Identify and qualify new suppliers, focusing on MRO parts. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to meet cost targets. Ensure supplier documentation is current and compliant with industry standards. Analyze requisitions and issue purchase orders effectively. Maintain inventory levels to prevent stockouts. Collaborate with Engineering and Materials teams to meet specifications and timelines. Monitor vendor performance and resolve any delivery issues promptly. Approve invoices and maintain accurate purchase records. Drive process improvements and review service contracts regularly. Comply with safety, environmental, and ethical standards in all procurement activities. Essential Skills
3+ years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing. Experience in automotive manufacturing is preferred. Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Proficient in MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in strategic sourcing and vendor management. Familiarity with contract and supplier management. Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 4 PM. Training will be provided for 2-3 weeks. The role may require occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 lbs, and involves standing, walking, sitting, and using hands. Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision.
