Base pay range $26.54/hr - $45.81/hr

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis until the end of their appointment.

Responsibilities

Collect and validate legal product information submitted by suppliers into the Private Brands Product and Packaging Specification system to comply with current U.S. labeling regulations, 3rd party certification requirements, and Private Brands standards.

Review, validate and approve regulatory label content and compliance documentation (e.g., supplier affidavits, 3rd party certificates, product lab test results) uploaded by suppliers into the Private Brands Product and Packaging Specification system for record‑keeping and to substantiate on‑package claims.

Generate pack copy from the PB Product and Packaging Specification system to provide label content to design teams for use on label artwork PDF.

Manage compliance documentation database for claims and 3rd party logos, including allergen claims, gluten free claims, comparison claims, Kosher, Organic, Non‑GMO Certified, Certified Vegan, and other 3rd party certifying agencies for both food and non‑food Private Brands products.

Communicate regulatory requirements needed for Private Brands label specifications and internal record‑keeping.

Collaborate with Category Development teams to align on label content including product names, claims, and 3rd party logos.

Work with the Product Excellence Team to ensure the information submitted for label content in product specifications aligns with the product approved at benchtop and vetted according to the Private Brands Supplier Requirements Guide.

Keep up to date with information required to appear on packaging per USDA, FDA, FTC, and state‑level laws.

Support the Regulatory Team as subject matter experts on label regulatory compliance.

Knowledge

Basic knowledge of product and food labeling (USDA, FDA, FTC, State).

Strong verbal & grammar skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Food & Nutrition, Food Science or related field or equivalent job experience.

Experience

Minimum of 1‑2 years of experience in labeling regulatory or a related industry.
