Quality Assurance Chemist - Food Safety
Location: Fresno, California, US
Type: 6-month contract-to-hire
Hours: M-F 8-5
Compensation: $25-$29/hour
Position Overview: Join a dynamic team focused on food safety and quality control in a safety-sensitive environment. You'll play a critical role in testing, quality assurance, and providing technical expertise to support operations and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct chemical testing and analysis on products and incoming raw materials.
Perform food safety inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Oversee quality control processes for bulk chemicals and repackaged products.
Prepare solutions, reagents, and other materials as required for testing procedures.
Serve as a technical resource, providing chemical and product information to customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Monitor repackaging operations to maintain product integrity and quality standards.
Requirements:
2-5 years of professional chemistry experience.
Strong background in analytical testing and quality control procedures.
Knowledge of food safety protocols preferred.
Ability to work in a safety-sensitive position.
Excellent communication skills for interfacing with diverse stakeholders.
