Background & Purpose of the Job The North America Nutrition business unit has been identified as a key growth area for Unilever globally. A robust end to end agenda has been created for historical growth over the next 3-5 yrs. The primary purpose of this role is to lead packaging activities to deliver best in class packaging innovations, drive sustainability and impactful cost savings programs for the entire Unilever Condiments category, including Unilever Premium Condiment brands. The right candidate should bring the necessary skillset, attitude and professionalism, along with a strong understanding of rigid packaging development and functional requirements to develop and qualify new pack structures.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do You will be responsible for delivering the key packaging activities to deliver Innovations, Cost Savings, Business Continuity and Sustainability program OTIF. You will manage multiple package development projects and prioritize tasks based on timelines. You will work with Brand, Planning, Product Group R&D, Procurement, Quality, and material suppliers in a cross‑functional team environment.

You will be expected to ideate and implement large scale cost savings programs. This will require influencing and leadership skills to clearly layout opportunity, gain stakeholder buy‑in and drive project from concept to completion.

The position will also interface with Manufacturing and Supply Chain for packaging related projects including line trials, production start‑ups, cost savings, improving line efficiencies related to packaging, as well as resolving documentation issues for specifications. The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with teams composed of individuals with technical and non‑technical backgrounds is essential.

The right candidate will have strong leadership qualities, providing technical guidance to junior team members, holding suppliers accountable and challenging the status quo.

What You’ll Need to Succeed B.S. Degree in Packaging Science or engineering equivalent, 2 to 5 years’ experience in the packaging field.

Knowledge of rigid packaging with relevant qualification experience on different molding platforms.

Understanding of package development process and engineering principles.

Ability to design and develop primary and secondary packaging components that meet consumer, brand, customer, and manufacturing objectives.

General understanding of project management to realize order, importance, and impact of appropriate project activities and maintain packaging commitments to project scheduling.

Understanding consumer, business, and category needs and the relationship to packaging decisions & execution.

Compensation & Benefits Pay:

$69,360 to $104,040.

Bonus:

This position is bonus eligible.

Long‑Term Incentive (LTI):

This position is LTI eligible.
