Job Description The Redwoods | Modesto, CA – Business Manager (Conventional) role. This full‑time position includes on‑site accounting and leasing responsibilities and serves as the person‑in‑charge when the Community Manager is absent.

Pay range:
$23.00–$25.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
Manage the financial operations of the apartment community, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and processing rent payments.
Support the Community Manager with all aspects of asset management, including budgets, financial reports, and cost control measures.
Oversee the leasing process from initial inquiries to move‑ins, ensuring a smooth experience for new residents.
Maintain and update accurate resident files, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Assist with marketing and advertising to fill vacancies.
Ensure maximum occupancy through resident engagement, apartment tours, and application processing.
Handle resident relations, addressing concerns and providing excellent customer service.
Document all leased apartments and maintain move‑in/move‑out records.
Collaborate with the Community Manager to enforce community policies and fair‑housing laws.
Perform general office tasks including scheduling, answering inquiries, and managing communication.
Assist with organizing resident events and building community relations.
Assume the role of person‑in‑charge in the absence of the Community Manager.
Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are (Requirements)
1–2 years of experience in conventional/luxury property management.
1–2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Strong understanding of multi‑family apartment community operations, including leasing, financial reporting, and resident services.
Demonstrated success in maintaining high occupancy rates.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Yardi and/or MRI is a plus.
Physically able to lift and carry items up to 25 lbs.
