Our Nestlé Purina Child Development Center is looking for a Lead One-Year-Old Teacher. Join an experienced and committed team made up of early childhood professionals in a NAEYC-accredited early childhood center located on Purina’s campus in downtown St. Louis! When joining our team, you will bring your expertise and design lesson plans based on Project Construct in a play-based curriculum, while interacting with children and families. We are seeking a nurturing, experienced teacher who brings energy and creativity to work every day to join the Nestle Purina Child Development Center team.

Duties

Work with children in a one-on-one and group setting through meaningful, hands-on learning activities · Prepare and design weekly lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate and differentiated for all skill levels and student interests · Design and execute math, literacy, and science learning activities that allow students the opportunity to communicate orally and in writing · Use daily mealtimes with the class as a method to incorporate learning, and social skills · Build schedules and routines for the children · Strategically plan the curriculum to target areas related to child development such as social, motor, and language skills · Proactively communicate expectations, criteria for assessment, student progress, and students’ strengths and opportunities to parents and students · Promote and model a positive and respectful learning environment that focuses on positive redirection · Establish trust and bond with the children and families in which you will serve · Maintain a safe and healthy classroom by following all center health and safety guidelines and rules · Demonstrate high standards of professionalism and ethics

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent and

at least 1

of the following: Associate's degree in early childhood education or related field CDA Certification · 2-5 years’ experience working in early childhood
